JOB DESCRIPTION:
Associate Manager/ Manager – Business Development/Technical Sales, Battery and Energy Storage Solutions (BESS)
Responsibilities
- Address customer energy needs and suggest suitable solution from stationary Product Line by aligning the customer with proper solutioning and proposal submission clearly enlisting innovative, scalable, valuable, and profitable product services for the useful life.
- Works closely with Product Manager to support product development, including commercial and technical analysis and executive approval for the battery energy storage Product line and the market fit.
- Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, or services over the period of deployment.
- Ensure professional services increase in volume, profitability, and customer share-of-wallet over time, and develop effective tracking tools and metrics.
- Contribute directly to the product strategy and roadmap, along with lessons learned for continuous improvement.
- Networks with key contacts outside own area of expertise. Adapts style and uses persuasion in delivering messages that relate to the wider firm business. Frequently advises others on complex matters.
- Continuously collaborate with internal Sales, Services and Product teams to ensure that products offered are viable and executable.
- Communicate acceptance criteria and get reference orders from the existing clients.
- Keep internal and external stakeholders up to date on progress and key milestones through extreme overcommunication.
- The ideal candidate should also have a techno-commercial background in modelling battery sizes based on applications and basic understanding of key terms in RE PPAs (Power Purchas Agreements)
What skills will the ideal candidate possess?
- 6-10 years’ experience with Battery Energy and Storage solutions companies; renewable energy sector, with strong preference for energy industry experience.
- Strong conceptual understanding of service agreements, warranties, and subscription-based services
- Passion for and knowledge of renewable energy systems and energy markets
- Ability to solve complex problems and takes broad holistic perspectives using existing solutions.
- Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on relationship building.
- Coachable (desires continuous improvement), Credible (excels in a high-trust environment), Confident (takes ownership and initiative)
